By 121 News
Chandigarh May 04, 2020:-MM Singh Cheema, Senior Trade Unionist and Member AICC  has welcomed the direction issued by UPA Chairperson Smt. Sonia Gandhi to all Pradesh Congress Committees for funding the travel arrangements of the workers and migrant labour facilitating their going back to their native in this COVID-19 pandemic situation.
M M S Cheema ridiculing the move made by Railway Minister of donating to Prime Minister fund Rs.151/- Crore for cheap publicity in prevailing circumstances when a practical solution would have been welcomed. Had railway provided the travel to the people those who were put to harsh lockdown conditions on a 4 hour notice by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his nationwide address.

M M Singh Cheema has welcomed the move by Congress President to show solidarity with the underprivileged sections and the people fighting the corona war with practically no support from Government of India which is supposed to handhold the masses across different States in this hour of crises.

M M Singh Cheema raised a serious concern over the 4 times the Address to the Nation made by Prime Minister where no concrete strategies were  shared or preparedness to fight the COVID-19 pandemic was given apart from plans of playing to the gallery by propagating the agenda of Tahli beating, burning the candles and now taking a cue from that the disciplined forces are on their own of doing the publicity event management by showering the flowers petals hospitals and beating the drums in silent zones. It would have been a better proposition had they made or facilitated the war against COVID-19 by proper planning of the supreme leadership. Meanwhile appreciating the efforts made by Chief Minister Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh of sending buses to bring back staranded Punjab Residents from Rajasthan,Maharashtra and other places apart from facilitating sending back the people to their respective states ,this will be a welcome sign for other states to follow.
