Dr. Khera’s Coaching Centre Celebrates Mat Pita Santan Divas

Chandigarh 11th January:- In a unique initiative to reinfuse the much sought life blood in the parent student relationship Dr Khera's Chandigarh Coaching Centre held 16th edition of its Mat Pita Santan Divas at the Bal Bhawan here today. Unique theme of the function was appreciated by the vast multitude present on the occasion.

The Chief Guest for the occasion Dhanpat Singh, Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture, Government of Haryana appreciated the nascent efforts of the institute and appreciated the director of the institute Dr Khera for his unflinching efforts to infuse values in the lives of young students who come to the city from various parts of the country to get best of professional education while preparing for competitive exams after tenth class.

He said that the effort of the institute to give value education along with highly focused approach towards studies must be appreciated by one and all. He congratulated the topper of HPPMT Sonali Thakur and gave her a shield and medical books.

Dr Khera in his address appreciated the contribution made by stalwarts of education for bringing glories to the lives of the students. He said that other students studying in the institute must ape Anjali Negi who won first rank in Chandigarh in PMT and Sonali Thakur who stood first in HPPMT. Besides being excellent students it is very much necessary for the students to imbibe values, carrying gratitude for their parents and working for the needy and downtrodden in the society, he added.

The institute always believes in giving out the best and results shown by students year after year are a proof of the same. It stands noteworthy here that thousands of students from the institute have cleared their medical and non medical entrance examinations since 1992. Dr Khera carried zeal to introduce honest, sincere and innovative methods for success of the students and that has always worked wonders..

A play Ek Kurbani Aisi Bhi on contribution of parents in the lives of the students won rich accolades. The play was written by the students of the institute. Sushma Gandhi an acclaimed director gave her best for bringing in right feelings on the stage. A group song Mata Pita Ki Sewa Dil Se expressed a sense of gratitude that needs to be carried by every youth. A song Kaise Mata Aur pita Ke Upkaar Sunaun Main on appreciation of the efforts of the parents in the lives of the students by a faculty member of the institute Nishant was liked by all.

Teachers who have immensely contributed to bringing glory in the lives of thousands of students were also honored during the function.  Dr YS Bhatia, Principal RS Bawa and Principal JM Sehgal were richly appreciated for their lifelong efforts for uplifting the standards of education in the region and were honoured by the Chief Guest.

Baldev Singh Ji, Secretary, Dev Dharam Mission while giving his discourse to the students and parents present on the occasion said that it should be the foremost duty of one and all to give their best for keeping their parents happy and working for the needy and hapless in the society. This he said would go a long way in building the values in the society for which our great country has always been appreciated.
