MCM Hold Parent Teacher Association Meet

Chandigarh 19th December:-  The Parent Teacher Association of  MCM DAV College for Women, Chandigarh held its annual meeting in the college campus today. Parents of students from diverse disciplines attended the meeting. Heads of Departments and Teachers of various courses and streams were present. The PTA Meeting, an annual feature of the college, is a unique platform to gather the opinion and feedback of the parents on issues of common concern to better the formulation of policies in the college by inculcating the feedback of the parents, our most valuable stakeholders, in our decision making.

The office bearers for the current session were elected during the meeting and a comprehensive report of the issues and viewpoints raised during the gathering was compiled for future perusal of decision making and executing personnel of the college. Mrs. Meenakshi Poonia, Editor of a reputed magazine was elected the President, Mrs Archana Munjal, Lecturer, Govt. Model School, Sector 10, Chandigarh became the Vice President while Mrs. Vineeta Arora, Principal of Bhavan Vidyalya, Chandigarh and Punit Gupta, a Bussinessman became the Secretary and Executive Member of the MCM Parent Teacher Association respectively.

Parents shared their valuable feedback with the college authorities on important issues. Praises and suggestions poured in. Parents lauded the endeavour and expressed interest in more such platforms for teacher- parent interaction to make the education more pragmatic and holistic.

The Principal of the College, Dr. Nisha Bhargava applauded the endeavour and welcomed their feedback saying that the point of view of the parents is imperative to the wholesome assessment of the progress of an institution and associations such as these are crucial to assurance of quality education.
