Chandigarh Police and Senior Citizen Association to Organize Cultural Evening at Tagore Theatre on 6th October,

Chandigarh 05th October:- Chandigarh Police and Chandigarh Senior Citizen Association are jointly organizing a community interaction cultural evening at Tagore Theatre on 6th October, 2015, from 06:00 PM onwards. "Unsung, unappreciated, they toil and suffer privations in spite of critical deficiencies and against severe odds so that citizens of Chandigarh may lead normal lives". His Excellency Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki, Administrator, UT, Chandigarh-cum-Governor Punjab, will be the chief guest. Advisor to Administrator Vijay Kumar Dev and other senior officers of Administration will also be present on the occasion. A variety of cultural programmes are to be presented during the evening, including performance by singer Brijesh, Stand-up Artist Ranbir Rana and Luddi / Malwai Gidha. Senior Citizen Association will also felicitate the Best Police Beats and present certificate to the Police personnel for their best performance of duties.

On this occasion Chandigarh Police is also going to launch Mobile and Web based application "Online Lost Documents/Articles Reporting System". It is a free of charge mobile and web based application which is developed for helping the residents to lodge complaint regarding loss of documents/articles. Currently residents have to visit the police station and get a non-cognizable report (NCR) registered under the provision of 155 Cr.PC. With the launch of this application, the general public will be able to lodge such reports from their mobiles or from the convenience of their homes and they will be issued a digitally signed copy on their given E-mail ID, which can be used for obtaining duplicate copies of the lost documents or for filing insurance claims in respect of lost documents/ articles.
