Chandigarh to Host 11th National Conference of Blood Donor

Chandigarh 22^nd September:- Chandigarh would host the 11th National Federation of Blood Donor Organisations of India (FBDOI) Conference, 'Blood Donors Nurture Life'. Chandigarh MP Mrs Kirron Kher would inaugurate the conference on the September 23 and honour the awardees. The two day prestigious conference is being organised by the Blood Bank Society in Chandigarh on September 23 & 24, 2015 at the Indira Holiday Home, Sector 24. More than 100 delegates from 18 States of India would attend the conference.

The conference will cover and discuss innovative initiatives taken in different parts of India to motivate the public to donate blood and thereby enlarge the donor base to help thousands of patients in hospitals.

Five persons would be honoured with Awards for their outstanding contribution in the field of voluntary blood donation.  Dr Manmohan Kaur (Chandigarh) has been chosen for Lifetime Achievement Award; Dr Naresh Bhatia (Delhi) & Dr Latha Jagannathan would receive 1^st Saroop Krishen Award; ML Sarin (Chandigarh) would receive 5^th HD Shourie Award and Mrs Vanita Sahni (Chandigarh) would get Blood Bank Society of Chandigarh Award of Excellence.
