Global Buyers Mission 2015 Wood & Woodworking Exhibitions to be Held in Canada

Chandigarh 05th August:- The annual Global Buyers Mission will be held in Whistler, British Columbia in Canada from September 10 - 12, 2015.The event will help Indian delegates establish new business relationships with all large scale wood producing lumber mills in Canada. The exhibition will also bring together world renowned architects and designers. The event will exhibit Canadian Wood from British Columbia (B.C.) including species such as Western Hemlock, Yellow Cedar, Douglas-Fir, Spruce–Pine-Fir (SPF),.and Western Red Cedar which are well suited to the Indian climatic conditions and are being extensively used by Indian manufacturers in varied interior, outdoor and even structural applications.

A specially designed mill tour visit is organized for the participating Indian delegates, which will showcase the highly mechanized and innovative timber milling practices in Canada. Canada is also a world leader in sustainable forest management providing standardized high quality certified wood under the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), or Program for Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) systems.

The meet expects to attract over 750 qualified international buyers of wood and wood products from around the world and Canadian manufacturers of products that include finished materials, building supplies and remanufacturing products; and architects, contractors, developers and specifiers interested in finding out more about building with wood.

The responses from 2014 exhibitors' surveys indicated an estimated $47+ million in new business from attendance at the event. The event had close to 70% new buyers last year coming from US, Mexico, Australia, China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, India, Pakistan, Vietnam, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, the Russian Federation and Switzerland.
