Choreographer Sanam Johar's Workshop Starts at Urban School of Dance

Chandigarh 13th June:- Sanam Johar a renowned Choreographer, who rose to fame with the popular dance reality show Dance India Dance, won the first season of Dare 2 Dance and was seen in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa season 5, where he was a choreographer for TV Actress Archana Vijaya, is taking a two day intensive dance workshop at Urban School of Dance, a premier dance training academy located in Sec 8, Chandigarh.

'Project Summer Workshop' - a grand finale of Urban School of Dance's summer workshop was also held in which students gave scintillating dance performances. The talented dancers who trained for a fortnight under certified instructors - Varun Rawat and Anchit Atri at Urban School of Dance, presented among others Freestyle Bollywood, Indo Contemporary, Indo Jazz, Bolly Hop, Ladies Bollywood genres of dances.

Varun Rawat said that we will be selecting promising dancers and they will get a chance to feature in a music video. Meanwhile, Sanam Johar will also be taking a Two Day Extensive Dance workshop from June 13-14 at Urban School of Dance.

Anchit Atri said that fifty students in the age group of 3 years – 60 years are attending the workshop. The same is a golden opportunity for dance enthusiasts as they will be learning finer details of dance from a Nationally recognized dancer cum choreographer-  Sanam Johar.

In the workshop Sanam will be sharing his experiences during reality dance shows as well as 'celebrity choreography', with the trainees. Said Sanam Johar, "I had a very fruitful interaction with all the trainees at Urban school of Dance. I see a lot of dancing talent in the country and reality shows are providing a great platform for dancers to showcase their expertise on National TV. With dance academies like Urban School of Dance doing a great job in teaching various dance forms, youngsters can even make dance a career."

It is noteworthy that the dynamic dancing star, Sanam Johar was born into a Sikh family and trained under Fernando Aguilera of Indian Fernando Ballet Company. Sanam was last seen in Dance India Dance L'il Masters 3 as one of the skippers. Sanam's group was named as Sanam ke Superheroes. In the two day workshop Sanam will be taking the students through the different nuances of dance and its various genres.
