Chandigarh 17th December:- Doon Public School, a CBSE New Generation Senior Secondary School, Sector-21 Panchkula witnessed a programme organized by Nature Adventure Organization .The Chief Guest was O.P Singh IPS, Commissioner of Police , Commiserate of Panchkula & Ambala, well known Mountaineer and ACP Mamta Sauda too was present. Ms. Mamta Sauda, who has scaled many peaks including Mount Everest and won a series of awards, became a role model for Doonites. She said, "The idea behind having this kind of an interaction with students of Doon Public School, Panchkula was to make them aware about the need of maintaining ecological balance and the importance of sports in one's life. The Nature Adventure Organisation has launched such a programme at Doon Public School & soon this will be taken to other private as well as government schools." Added Ms. Sauda, "Children from all age groups should participate in adventure sports as these bring about discipline and improve both mental & physical health of a child." Said Capt. Sanjay Anand, SM, Principal, O P Singh's and Mamta Sauda's visit to the school has certainly made students much more enthusiastic towards pursuing adventure sports to which Doon Public School has been giving a lot of attention."
