Chandigarh 02nd September:-Sentiss Pharma Pvt Ltd defeated Abbott Healthcare Ltd by 7 wickets in an exciting final match of the CII Yi Corporate Sports Cup organised by Confederation of Indian Industry's Young Indians (Yi) Solan Chapter at Sector 16 Cricket Stadium.
Abbott Healthcare Ltd, while batting first was bundled out for a paltry 119 in 19.5 overs. Rakesh Kumar batted well and topped the team's score board with 31 runs of 29 balls. His innings included 2 towering sixes and three hits to the fence. Jitender Chauhan chipped in with 17 off 15 balls including 2 fours. From Sentiss Pharma, Rajneesh Thakur and Parveen Kumar grabbed two wickets each.
In reply, Sentiss Pharma batted brilliantly and achieved the target, scoring 120 / 3 in 17.2 overs, with 7 wickets to spare, thereby lifting the CII Yi Corporate Cricket Cup. Surender Singh top scored with 31 runs of 55 balls, while Deepak Sharma chipped in with 28 off 27 balls studded with 3 fours. From Abbott Healthcare Ltd, Jeetan, Jatinder and Vikas took one wicket each. Earlier in the day, Sentiss Pharma Ltd had defeated Godrej Consumer Products Ltd and Abbott Healthcare Ltd defeated CII to qualify for the final.

Our aim of holding the CII Yi Corporate Sports Cup was to help corporates learn the art of working as a team, to inculcate a never say die spirit, to learn to play as a cohesive unit and coordinate well with each other to achieve desired results". He thanked all the teams for their good participation and also the members of the technical committee and promised to make it a regular feature as requested by all the teams.
