Chandigarh 22nd September:- JW Marriott in association with Zomato, organized a meet-up of the city's food bloggers at Saffron, the Indian fine dining restaurant. Over 15 food bloggers from across the city attended the event, to discuss their shared love for food and swap tales of their respective culinary journeys. A first of its kind event in Chandigarh, this is an initiative by JW Marriott in association with Zomato to provide a platform for food lovers to meet and share their stories over a meal. The Chefs at JW Marriott engaged in a candid chat with the food connoisseurs across the city, to gather interesting insights on their tastes, preferences and nuances that work in decision making at the foodie's end.
Talking about the foodie meet-up, Deepak Manocha, General Manager, JW Marriott Chandigarh said, that social media is constantly changing and it is important for us as a hotel to be up-to-date and knowledgeable about how social networking and media platforms influences our day-to-day business. This is a great way for us to reach our audience which is numerous and broad. This would also provide a unique opportunity for our Chefs to interact with top Foodies of tri-city.
Saurabh Sengupta, Country Manager India said that Zomato is expanding globally and we're constantly working on building a strong network of people both online and offline, who love food as much as we do. We're excited to bring to Chandigarh its first foodie meets up of its kind in association with JW Marriott. Zomato in Chandigarh reaches out to 1/3rd of the population every month helping users discover great places to eat around them whether they are looking for great dhabas, places for breakfast or kid friendly restaurants.
