Chandigarh 22nd May: -- Kings XI Punjab, an IPL franchise in association with JW Marriott Chandigarh hosted an interactive Zumba dance off with the children of a NGO 'Chhoti Si Asha' today. Zumba is the dance and exercise global phenomenon that has swept the world off its feet and consists of traditional salsa and meringue music. Kings XI Punjab players spent time with the children in order to bring a smile on their face and encourage fitness and share the benefits of healthy living.
Commenting on this initiative, Promoters, Kings XI Punjab said, that they are pleased to associate ourselves with the important cause of promoting fitness and health among children. They are positive that this fun activity will inspire these kids to adopt a healthy lifestyle for their all-round development.
On the occasion, Deepak Manocha, General Manager, JW Marriott Chandigarh said, that it feels good to extend support to humanitarian organizations. The effort is expected to encourage our employees, to heighten their responsibilities as good citizens and be responsible towards the society.
In order to inspire these kids towards a better tomorrow, Kings XI Punjab will also host the children from Chhoti Si Asha at PCA Stadium, Mohali to watch their favorite team live in action on May 25, 2014. Choti Si Asha, an NGO for underprivileged children and women, strives to make these people self-sufficient by teaching them various skills like sewing and stitching.
