NDA Selectes 22 Students of Shemrok School & Maharaja Ranjit Singh Academy

Mohali 12th March:-- Shemrock Sen. Sec. School, Mohali have a proud moment when 22 students of it’s second batch have  selected in NDA. Meanwhile last Year of first batch 8 students were selected. These students will join the National Defense Academy for their further training.

Shemrock Principal Air Commd.(Retd.) S.K.Sharma While honouring the students  said that about 3.5 Lac Candidates had  appeared in written test and after Written test 35 students of our institute were selected for final Interview .After final interview 22 Candidates are selected for NDA  & one Interview is pending. He further added that 8 out of selected 22 Candidates are from Rural Background. Indian Army has enjoyed the reputation of being one of the finest forces in the world. Career in the armed forces, therefore, holds the promise of bringing honour, glory, social reputation, and a privileged lifestyle. Nevertheless, the defense establishment is nowadays competing with other more lucrative career options available to the country's youngsters but Shemrock & Academy always encourage the students to join army to serve the nation.

Major Gen. Baljit Singh Grewal(Retd.),Director, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute for boys of Punjab while congratulating the students said that Chief Minister, Shri Prakash Singh Badal set up this institute in Punjab, to specially train boys of Punjab to join defense forces by observing that the number of individuals, joining defense forces from Punjab had been going down year by year and it pride for us 8 of our students mark the success.
