Chandigarh 10th February:---- MCM DAV College for Women, Chandigarh in collaboration with the National Awareness Forum organized a Declamation contest on the topic “How to implement a good governance to reduce the poverty, disparity to eliminate castism and illiteracy from the society”. An overwhelming number of students enthusiastically participated in the declamation contest. Thoughtful and invigorating speeches enlivened the ambience. B.D. Thapar General Secretary, National Awareness Forum, Mr. G.S. Oberoi, President All India Bankers Association and Mr. Suresh Bindal, Inspector (Retd.), Kendriya Vidyalya graced the occasion with their galvanizing presence.
Piya Bakshi bagged the first prize for the thought provoking speech while Kriti and Rashmi Sharma won the second and third prize. Consolation prizes were given to Shivangi and Shreya.
The guest appreciated the zealous participation. The Principal of the college Dr. Puneet Bedi said that such diligent platforms are imperative to all round development of students.
