Oakridge International School celebrated Halloween in Indian style

Mohali 05th November: ------ Oakridge International School celebrated Halloween in the Indian style. It is celebrated to kicks off the Hallowmas and dedicated to remembering the dead, including saints (hallows), martyrs, and all the faithful departed souls. The students dressed up in costumes and painted their faces and mimic the evil spirits to scare the teachers. The creativity was easily witnessed in the way by which they coloured their faces and hands. They succeeded most of the time, scaring the teachers out of their wits. It was a fun and scary day and the kids enjoyed the occasion. Most of the students had not heard about this festival before and were be inquisitive about it. Principal  Mrs Pranjala Dutta Das said  that  typical festive Halloween activities include trick-or-treat attending costume parties, decorating, carving pumpkins into jack-o'-lanterns, apple bobbing, visiting haunted attractions, playing pranks, telling scary stories, and watching horror films etc .she further informed that nowadays whole world has become  global village and this is the time when we can preach universal culture to the students  along with Indian culture and tradition.
