All India Police Lawn Tennis Championship-2013 Will Be Played from 7th to 10th, November, 2013 :Chandigarh Police Is The Hosting State

Chandigarh 05th November:-----Chandigarh Police going to host 14th All India Police Lawn Tennis Championship-2013 this time.The Championship will be palyed from 7th to 10th, November, 2013 at CLTA Sector-10. The competition between the teams will be conducted in accordance with the rules & regulations laid down by the All India Tennis Association & All India Police Sports Control Board, New Delhi.  

 

While talking to the media SSP Naunihal Singh said that Chandigarh is hosting this prestigious Championship 2nd time.13th All India Police Lawn Tennis Championship-2012 was held in Kolkata (West Bengal). So for, total 19  teams  comprising  94  participants from 11 States - Andhra Pradesh (13), Assam (3), Chandigarh (3), Goa (2), Gujarat (5), Himachal Pradesh (6), J & K (2), Jharkhand (2), Karnataka (7), Punjab (6), Uttar Pradesh (3), 07 Central Para-Military Forces – ITBP (10), NSG (6), RPF (5), BSF (6), CRPF (6), SPG (2), SSB (6) and SVP - National Police Academy Hyderabad (1) have confirmed their participation in this Championship-2013. SSP further said that the matches will start daily from 9.00 AM onwards. The Championship will comprise of Team Events, Open Singles, Open Doubles, Veteran Singles and Veteran Doubles. So for, total 19  teams  comprising  94  participants from 11 States - Andhra Pradesh (13), Assam (3), Chandigarh (3), Goa (2), Gujarat (5), Himachal Pradesh (6), J & K (2), Jharkhand (2), Karnataka (7), Punjab (6), Uttar Pradesh (3), 07 Central Para-Military Forces – ITBP (10), NSG (6), RPF (5), BSF (6), CRPF (6), SPG (2), SSB (6) and SVP - National Police Academy Hyderabad (1) have confirmed their participation in this Championship-2013. He added that IGP Chandigarh R.P.Upadhyay, would also participate in this championship to promote the culture of sports in uniformed forces. The others two officers from Chandigarh police DSP's, Ashish Kapoor and Rajesh Kalia will also participate in this tournament. The opening ceremony of Championship will be held on 7th November 2013 at CLTA, Sector-10, Chandigarh. Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Hon'ble Chief Minister, Haryana has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest on opening ceremony.  The closing ceremony will be held on 10.11.2013 at CLTA, Sector-10, Chandigarh, which will be attended by Hon'ble Governor of Haryana as the Chief Guest.
