DSP Ashish Kapoor Wins Open Singles title of All India Police Lawn Tennis Championship 2013

Chandigarh 10^th November: -- It was a proud moment for Chandigarh Police, When DSP Ashish Kapoor of won the Open Singles title of All India Police Lawn Tennis Championship 2013. Ashish Kapoor defeated Dr. Kanjom in straight sets, Score 9-0 and won the Open Singles title. DSP Ashish Kapoor alongwith S.M. Sharma also won Open Doubles Event Final match by defeating Vikran Dev Singh & Dr. G.S. Nag.

Final day of All India Police Lawn Tennis Championship 2013. 1st match was played between CRPF and BSF. CRPF team won the team championship with the result of 2-0 in the team event. In Veteran Doubles match was played between S.M. Sharma, B.N.S. Reddy and S.A. Razak, E. Ashok Kumar. .M. Sharma, B.N.S. Reddy won with a set score of 9-6. In Veteran Singles Event the Final match was scheduled between S.M. Sharma and Randeep Dutta. This match was not concluded and the result was joint winner.

A Cultural Music Programme was conducted displaying Haryana Folk Dance and Giddha/Bhangra of Punjab. Chief Guest of the closing ceremony was

Hon'ble Governor of Haryana, Jagannath Pahadia. He gave the awards and trophies to the winners and runners up players.
