Chandigarh 15th October:---Now get ready to see actor Shakti Arora in King Khan Sharukh Khan's footstep. Shakti Arora is going to play role in the next episode of 'Yeh Hai Aashiqui', which is very touching, real life love stories and will feature a story about a couple which bears similarity to Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma's characters in the hit film, "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi". Popular actress Anupriya Kapoor will be seen in this episode playing the female lead and they will be playing a couple for the first time on television. The episode will be telecast on Sunday 13th October on Bindass Channel.
Shakti's character 'Mayank' is a simple, down to earth boy, quite like SRK's character in the movie, who falls in love and is to be wedded to 'Suman' who is a bubbly and vivacious girl, also like Anushka Sharma from the same film.
Talking about his character and its likeness to Shah Rukh's role in "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi", actor Shakti Arora said that his character is a very simple guy who is down to earth and straightforward. He is focused in his life and he wants to marry a girl for who he has bought a new flat and a car. So, when you go to think about it, even in "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi", Shah Rukh Khan gets married to a girl who doesn't love him but eventually falls in love with him. Just like his character, even my character is a very mediocre man who falls in love and things finally work out for him and he gets to marry her."
