New Holland Celebrates Customer Day to Reiterate Commitment to Punjab

Ludhiana, New Holland, one of the leading agricultural equipment companies in India, invited about 2,000 customers and farmers from around the Punjab area to Ludhiana for a celebration of their loyalty to New Holland and the company's commitment to the region. Today's Mega Customer Meet was attended by New Holland's dealers in Punjab and Company's management and sales team.

 

During the event, the management thanked the customers who purchased New Holland tractors during a recent 45-day scheme that ran from May 1st to June 15th, handing over the keys to their new tractor and a special gift. A lucky draw was also held at the event where a few customers won LED TVs and the one lucky customer won the grand prize, a Bullet motorcycle.

 

Mr. Rakesh Malhotra, Managing Director – New Holland Fiat (India) Pvt. Ltd., speaking about their expansion plans in State said, "Punjab is very close to our hearts, and the support and loyalty of our customers has been amazing and we have been continuously striving to offer technologically superior products to fulfil their needs. The growth that we have achieved in these few years is a testimony to the trust our customers have placed in us and our products. Today, we reiterate our commitment of providing our customers with technologically superior products, exemplary training and after-sales-service."

 

Punjab holds a special place in the hearts of the New Holland team, as it was here that the Company first entered the Indian market in 1998 with the introduction of the Country's first 75 HP tractor. Since then, New Holland has expanded throughout the National territory, going from strength to strength and today it is a market leader in the tractor segment and the dominant player, with a share of over 70%, in post-harvesting equipment like balers and rakes. Over the last five years, the company has increased its sales from 2,000 units to 3,500 units.

 

Ludhiana was also the first market in India where New Holland introduced the GPS/GPRS technology enabled tractors. The SKY WATCH technology enables farmers to monitor their tractors' health and performance for better control and maintenance, easy operations and improved productivity. The company is currently focusing on the Sky Watch enabled 55 HP tractors and plans to expand its offering in the high horsepower range in response to the demand from Punjabi farmers.

 

New Holland's focus is to be alive to customer needs and the growing network of customer touch-points ensures customer satisfaction and maximum uptime of their equipment, implements and tractors.

 

In its commitment to Punjab, New Holland plans to increase this year the number of customer touch points to 100, from the existing 60. The customer touch-points are well equipped with trained personnel to deliver best in class support to the customers.

 

New Holland also conducts regular training and education programmes on new products and technologies for customers in Punjab Agriculture University and at different dealerships. The state-of-the-art training centre at its plant also helps to keep the dealer technicians up to date on trouble shooting and product care in terms of minimum downtime and quality of work.

 

The company, based in Greater Noida, has expanded its business vision to move beyond tractors to the larger area of supporting farmers in improving productivity of Indian agriculture. It is the first company in the country to offer the most appropriate mechanization solutions to Indian farmers like sugarcane harvesters, biomass solutions, balers, mowers and choppers.

 

New Holland is improving efficiency and productivity in the agriculture global industry and launched the Clean Energy Leader strategy in 2006 for the active promotion of renewable fuels, emissions reduction systems and sustainable agricultural technology.

On this special occasion, New Holland sister brand, Case Construction Equipment was also present at the Mega Customer Meet to showcase one of its best-selling products, the Case 770 backhoe loader. Case Construction is the market leader in vibratory compactors and holds a strong second position in the backhoe loader segment. This machine, which is manufactured in the facility of Pithampur, is very popular in Punjab and is mainly used for road construction, real estate, mining, irrigation and sewer projects, and general construction purposes.This opens for customers the door to new business opportunities in a diversified segment.
