Haryana Governor donate Rs10 lakh for relief and rehabilitation for Uttarakhand victim

Chandigarh, 04th July:-- Haryana Governor Jaggannath Pahadia  has donated Rs10 lakh out of his discretionary fund for relief and rehabilitation of those affected by recent devastation in Uttarakhand. The Governor presented a cheque for the said amount to Secretary, Haryana State Branch of Indian Red Cross Society, Col. (Retd.) Dr. G.P. Taneja at Haryana Raj Bhawan, here today.

Haryana Governor Jaggannath Pahadia  expressed grief over the massive loss of life and property in Uttarakhand and prayed that those who were still missing  safely return  to their homes. The Governor said that a lot was yet to be done for the rehabilitation of those who have been rendered homeless in the devastation and also for the reconstruction of damaged infrastructure like roads and houses. He urged the people to come forward to extend every possible help to the victims in this hour of need. He said that he was proud of the soldiers for saving several precious lives by evacuating those who were stranded at different places.
