FARD KENDRAS PROVING A BOON FOR GETTING COPIES OF LAND RECORDS WITHIN MINUTES-DEPUTY COMMISSIONER MOHALI

SAS Nagar,07th July:--Computerized Fard Kendras are proving a boon for land owners as they are now getting fards and attested copies of their respective lands there within minutes that too without any hassle at Patwarkhanas or tehsils resulting in saving of their precious time. Disclosing this here today, Tejinder Pal Singh Sidhu, Deputy Commissioner informed that till date land owners of the district have got 83,193 fards and 1, 97,556 attested copies of their land records without any delay or harassment.

The Deputy Commissioner said that any land owner can get the fard of his land within 15 minutes at the nominal charge of Rs. 20 per page. He revealed at present total five fard kendras were operational in the district at Deputy Commissioner office, SAS Nagar, tehsil office Kharar, tehsil complex Dera Bassi, Sub tehsil office Majri,  and Market Committee office , Banur. He said that SAS Nagar Fard Kendra has till date issued 17,367 fards and 58,455 attested copies of land records. Similarly, Kharar fard Kendra has issued issued 41,582 fards and 46,013 attested copies of land records, Dera Bassi fard Kendra  11,005 fards and 42,013 attested copies of land records, Majri fard Kendra 12,040 fards and 47,750 attested copies of land records and Banur Fard Kendra 833 fards and 3301 attested copies of land records.

Tejinder Pal Singh Sidhu Sidhu informed that SAS Nagar tehsil comprises of 82 villages and the land record of 80 villages had already been computerized and the remaining two villages would be made live by completion of date entries soon. The land record of 100 villages out of total 112 villages of Kharar tehsil had been computerized and the remaining would be covered soon. Out of 150 villages of Dera Bassi tehsil the land records of 130 villages have been computerized and data entries of remaining ones were being completed. He said that 32 villages of Banur sub tehsil have been made live and the land records of 80 out of 88 villages of Majri Sub tehsil have been computerized till now. The Deputy Commissioner assured that the remaining work would be completed on priority.
