Aryans Group starts Nursing College

Chandigarh 10th June:-Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh has started admissions in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) course in its college Aryans Institute of Nursing (AIN) from this academic session 2013-14. The college has already got the approval from Punjab Government, Indian Nursing Council (INC) and Punjab Nurses Registration Council (PNRC). Out of total 40 seats in GNM, Aryans Group has allotted 5 seats for Scholarship to needy and deserving students. Giving this information to media, Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges said that after MBA College, Engineering College, BBA-BCA College, B.Ed College & Junior Science College, now Nursing College is another feather in the cap of Aryans. He added that the eligibility criteria for GNM course is +2 in any stream and this is 3½ years diploma course.
Dr.Kataria further said that despite having over a hundred nursing schools and colleges, Punjab is facing an acute shortage of nursing staff in its hospitals, as most nurses tend to choose better pay packages abroad. In fact talking about the whole country there is huge shortage of nurses of nearly one million. Keeping in mind the requirement of nurses across different fields of medicine, Aryans Group is diversifying in medical stream and starting nursing college in 20 acre campus is in Village Nepra/Thuha, between Banur & Rajpura, Chandigarh–Patiala highway, near Chandigarh.
