MC constitutes Flood control team

Chandigarh, June 18:- The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has constituted 14 Flood Control teams each under the supervision of Sub Divisional Engineers of Public Health divisio In view of the ensuing monsoon season, n. A Flood Control Room  has also been set up at Sector 15, Maintenance Booth with telephone No.2540200 manned by a telephone attendant to receive complaints regarding the Flood Control During rainy season.

Givind detail about the Flood control Team the Spokesman of the MC said that all the SDE's will be provided with 5 Sewerman/Beldar during the monsoon period by respective divisions. In addition to that Sub Divisional Engineers of the Road Wing of the concerned areas will also move in their areas with sufficient labour to get any blockage removed at any point of the road due to depression including road gullies. These orders will come into effect w.e.f. 20.06.2013 and remain in force till 20.09.2013.
