Chandigarh, June 05, 2026:- A plantation drive was held in sector 7 Park to commemorate the world environment Day.
The programme started with a pledge to safeguard, the environment and to promote greenery in our neighbourhoods. A large number of saplings were planted to add to the green cover of the city. The plantation drive was done under the theme of ‘ek paid maa Ke naam’ as propounded by our prime minister, Narendra Modi and all the participants present there planted a tree in the name of mother and everybody vowed to take care of the sapling planted by them.
The event was specially graced by Satnam Singh Sandhu member of Parliament along with BJP Chandigarh vice president and nominated councillor Naresh Panchal, Dilip Kumar Bjp District President, Maheshinder, Singh Sidhu the area councillor, Rakesh Sharma, Chandni Sharma, Bablu Chaudhary, Varinder Singh, raj kumar Jamwal, Harminder Singh, Nikhil Sharma, Mahipal Yadav etc.
The event was also made successful by the active participation of the environment, society of India, NGO and the sector seven welfare groups Association.
