Mohali, Dec.08, 2025:-Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology , Phase 2, continued its commitment to social responsibility by distributing warm clothes to the needy in Badmajra village. It is noteworthy that the Gyan Jyoti Group has adopted Badmajra village, and the institute regularly undertakes various public welfare initiatives there.
This initiative was jointly organized by the Rotaract Club, NCC, NSS, and Red Ribbon Club under the banner of 'Unnat Bharat Abhiyan' (Developed India Campaign). The main objective of the campaign was to provide warmth and support to underprivileged families during the winter season.
A dedicated team of volunteers from various student clubs actively participated in this noble cause. Essential winter items, including sweaters, jackets, shawls, socks, and blankets, were generously donated by students, faculty members, and staff of the institute.
The volunteers personally distributed the collected items to children, the elderly, and economically weaker families, ensuring the campaign made a meaningful impact. The needy residents of the village expressed heartfelt gratitude for this initiative by the students of Gyan Jyoti, which brought them comfort and relief during the harsh winter.
On this occasion, Dr. Aneet Bedi, Director, GJIMT, praised the efforts of the students and said that Acts of kindness define the character of an institution. Initiatives like these not only support communities in need but also nurture empathy, social responsibility, and human values among our students. This social service activity has once again proven that educational institutions can play a significant role in bringing about social change.
