Mohali, Dec.09, 2025:-Ashmah International School, Sector 70, Mohali, celebrated its Annual Function with great fanfare. Giving the message of 'Save Environment, Save Trees', students presented a colourful array of performances, incorporating Indian and Western styles, while discussing the relevant theme.
During the event, the audience highly appreciated the presentation of the glory of Punjab's culture, including Gidha, Bhangra, Malwai Gidha, and a special Punjabi presentation depicting a wedding ceremony.
The colourful program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest, the most senior citizen present, and former IAS (Engg.) J S Kesar. School Principal Ms. Suchi Grover read out the school's Annual Report and shared future goals with the assembled guests. The program officially began with a hymn sung by the students in praise of God, followed by continuous performances by the children.
The main theme of this year's Annual Function, 'Prakriti Da Sandesh' (Message of Nature), was 'Save Environment, Save Trees'. Students presented a special theatre presentation showcasing the effects of deforestation and the seriousness of climate change. The blend of classical and contemporary dances vividly portrayed various forms of nature such as rivers, mountains, and greenery. A small Science and Technology Exhibition was also organized at the venue, where students showcased their STEM projects based on eco-friendly techniques, with the solar energy models being a special attraction.
In addition to the traditional academic and co-curricular awards, the 'Green Champion' awards were distributed for the first time this year, honouring students who made significant contributions to environmental protection on the school campus.
On this occasion, meritorious students who performed excellently in academic and co-curricular activities were honoured with prizes. This boosted the morale of the students and inspired them to perform better in the future. This Annual Function was a wonderful blend of colourful costumes, melodious music, vibrant dances, and meaningful theatre presentations, showcasing the students' talent and awareness of social issues.
