Chandigarh, Nov.11, 2025:- The 5th Balramji Dass Tandon Trophy matches played across different venues on Monday concluded with both Punjab A and Tripura securing crucial first-innings leads in their respective encounters against Chandigarh A and Sikkim.
At Rana Green Field, the match between Punjab A and Chandigarh A settled in draw. Batting first, Punjab A posted a commanding 371/6 in 90 overs, powered by Hriday Kataria (115) and Shivansh Sharma (95). In response, Chandigarh A managed 217 all out with skipper Vedansh Kalkhanday (61) and Ryan Arora (52) . For Punjab, Abhishek Rajput starred with the ball by claiming 4/70 while Paras Dhamija chipped in with 3/15. Punjab, enforcing a second innings, reached 72/1 before stumps were drawn,
In another fixture at the Cricket Institute of Chandigarh, Tripura took first-innings honours against Sikkim. Tripura posted 218 in their first innings, with Arish (63) as a top scorer while Sikkim's Sahil Rai impressed with 6/62. In reply, Sikkim faltered to 75 all out as Tuhin Debnath (5/22) claimed the five wicket haul. Later, Tripura then reached 45/2 in their second innings before the match ended in a draw.
