Mohali, July 12, 2025:--Brookfield International School, Siswan Road, Kurali, organized a significant tree plantation drive within and around its campus in service of Mother Earth. Additionally, an enthusiastic "Germination of Seed" activity was successfully held for junior classes. This initiative aimed to instill environmental awareness, love for nature, and scientific curiosity among young students. The school grounds buzzed with excitement as students eagerly participated in both the seed germination and plantation activities. From soaking seeds to witnessing tiny shoots emerge, every step of the process was filled with wonder and discovery for the young children. This practical experience not only taught them about the life cycle of plants but also imparted invaluable lessons in patience, care, and nurturing. The saplings nurtured by these students will soon be transplanted within the school premises under the guidance of the school management. This will allow students to observe the daily growth of their plants, further strengthening their learning process and connection to nature.
Manav Singla, President of Brookfield International School, shared his enthusiasm for the initiative, stating that We believe in holistic education that extends beyond textbooks. This plantation drive and the seed germination activity are excellent examples of how we can combine environmental responsibility with practical scientific education. It is incredibly satisfying to see our young students so engaged and understanding the importance of nurturing life, both plants and their own personal growth. These activities are crucial in shaping responsible and environmentally conscious citizens for the future." The event underscores Brookfield International School's continuous commitment to providing experiential learning opportunities and fostering a deep appreciation for the environment among its students.
