Sports Minister to Grace Gully Cricket Tournament Finale as Chief Guest

Chandigarh, April 09, 2025:- UT Cricket Association (UTCA) President Sanjay Tandon met Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports during his visit to New Delhi and extended a formal invitation for the grand finale of the Gully Cricket Tournament, scheduled to be held on May 11, 2025. The minister graciously accepted the invitation and consented to be the Chief Guest for the finale.

During the meeting, Sanjay Tandon apprised the minister of the remarkable journey of the Gully Cricket Tournament which has grown in popularity and impact across its previous editions. He emphasized the core objective behind the initiative, promoting the motto "Balla Ghumao, Nasha Bhagao" to steer the youth away from drug abuse and encourage active participation in sports and fitness.

Tandon highlighted how the tournament has successfully engaged thousands of young cricket enthusiasts from different corners of the city. As a token gesture and to showcase the tournament's impact, Tandon presented a specially curated coffee table book chronicling the journey, inspiring stories and vibrant moments of the Gully Cricket Tournament.

The Minister appreciated UTCA's efforts in combining sports with social responsibility and assured all possible support for the upcoming finale.
