Mohali, Jan.31,2025:-Gian Jyoti Global School, Phase 2, Mohali, solemnly observed Martyrs' Day to mark the 77th death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The event was held with deep reverence, honoring the values of truth, non-violence, and patriotism that Gandhiji stood for.
Students from various classes paid tribute by offering flowers to the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi, expressing their gratitude and reverence. The commemoration began with a floral tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, followed by a two-minute silence in memory of all the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation. Students and teachers participated in speeches, patriotic songs, and skits showcasing Gandhiji's life and contributions to India's freedom struggle.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Director Ranjit Bedi emphasized the significance of Gandhian principles in today's world. She said that Mahatma Gandhi's teachings of peace, non-violence, and unity continue to inspire generations. It is our responsibility to follow his path and contribute towards a harmonious society. The event concluded with students taking a pledge to uphold the values of honesty, peace, and non-violence in their daily lives. The program served as a reminder of Gandhiji's sacrifices and the relevance of his ideals in modern times.
