CBSE Cluster XVII Volleyball Games Witnesses Intense Matches at Gian Jyoti Global School

Mohali, Sept.20, 2024:-The second day of the CBSE Cluster XVII Volleyball Championship at Gian Jyoti Global School, Phase 2, Mohali, saw an action-packed series of matches across various categories. With 720 participants from 57 schools, the tournament continues to celebrate sportsmanship, teamwork, and competitive spirit.

Day two was marked by high-energy matches as teams across Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19 boys and girls categories battled it out on the courts. The crowd witnessed thrilling moments as schools from across the North Zone demonstrated their volleyball prowess.

The day kicked off with matches between J D Public School, Rajpura and St. Mary school Nangal in the Under-19 Girls category, where St. Mary school Nangal emerged victorious in a nail-biting finish. In the Under-14 girls' category, Nishaan Academy, Mukatsar claimed another win, defeating Edustar School, Mohali with a dominant 2-1 score.

Gian Jyoti Global School continued their winning streak, securing a spot in the next round with a well-fought match against Vasant valley public School  with 2-0 score. Meanwhile, in the Under-14 girs category, Guru Nanak dev Public School, Bathinda won a hard-fought contest against G G S Pubic School, Mukatsar.  AVPS akilia School, Mansa won a hard-fought contest against Oxford School.  In the Under-14 girls' categoryPioneer convent Scool claimed another win, defeating Kalidhar national school with a dominant 2-0 score. In the Under-19 girls' category,  Mata sahib Kaur Public School, Sawars defeated Guru Gobind Singh Public School, Madahor Kalan  with a dominant 2-0 score.

Gian Jot Principal of Gian Jyoti Global School commended the participants for their dedication and skill. She encouraged the players to uphold the values of fair play and wished them luck for the remaining matches.

As the tournament progresses, anticipation builds for the final day, which will culminate with a grand prize distribution and closing ceremony on September 21, 2024.
