By 121 News
Chandigarh, August 14, 2022:-On the eve of Independence Day, to commemorate 75 years of independence of the country, Aam Aadmi Party Chandigarh had organised a grand tricolor yatra in the city today.
It was led by Aam Aadmi Party's co-in-charge and former Mayor of Chandigarh, Pradeep Chhabra and the party's local unit president Prem Garg. In this program, all the councilors of Aam Aadmi Party Chandigarh, all the office bearers and workers of the party, besides local people participated in large numbers and raised slogans of Vande Mataram and Bharat Mata ki Jai. AAP's tricolor journey started from Aroma Hotel in Sector-22 and ended at Kiran Cinema.
On this occasion, Pradeep Chhabra, co-in-charge of Aam Aadmi Party and former Mayor of Chandigarh, said that Aam Aadmi Party is a party which is born out of a struggle, filled with patriotism which is almost like a freedom movement, and is committed to keep the unity and integrity of the country intact. Every worker of Aam Aadmi Party will never back down from any struggle, or any sacrifice, to maintain the glory of the national flag and tricolor. Patriotism is the soul of Aam Aadmi Party.
He said that the honor of the immortal martyrs who laid down their lives for the country and even after the freedom movement is paramount for the Aam Aadmi Party. This is the reason that when the Aam Aadmi Party's government was formed in Punjab, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann took oath as the Chief Minister in Khatkarkalan which is the native village of Shaheed Azam Bhagat Singh. For the first time in the history of Punjab, any Chief Minister has given such an honor to Shaheed Azam Bhagat Singh.
Pardeep Chhabra said that the kind of honest politics that the Aam Aadmi Party has started in the country, it is the first and unique example in Indian politics after the country's independence. That is why today people all over the country are increasingly joining the Aam Aadmi Party and rejecting the politics of traditional political parties.
Chhabra said that the Aam Aadmi Party is committed to live up to the expectations of the people. Delhi Chief Minister and National Convenor of Aam Aadmi Party Sh. Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Sh. Bhagwant Mann have proved this to the whole country.
On this occasion, Aam Aadmi Party's local unit president Prem Garg termed the patriotism of the BJP as hollow. He said that the BJP-led Modi government at the Center, which pushed the country into extreme inflation and unemployment, got down to sell the national flag and the tricolor during the nectar of the country's independence. Even the poor were forced to buy the tricolor flag for Rs 20 along with ration. BJP should apologize to the country for this.
