Chandigarh Oct. 17, 2020:- JKM Welfare Foundation' a non-profit social organisation here on Saturday in Chandigarh sector 17, under the leadership of its chairman Sat Paul Sharma started a noble campaign 'Feed the Birds' on the first day of pious Navratras. While providing 'satnaja' to the birds on the inaugural day of campaign, chairman of the foundation assured that this campaign will continue forever on a regular basis.

He said that we have already identified the places in tricity to 'feed the birds' on a regular basis, without any gap and our plans to extend this 'special service for the birds' to the rest of the districts or states across the country thereafter. However, keeping in view of COVID-19, the foundation organised a very small function for this campaign with enough social distancing. All the dignitaries present on this occasion were asked to put their mask on their faces.

The founder chairman of Dhanwantri Dham and renowned social activist Subhash Goyal, who provided 100 k.g. satnaja to the foundation for this noble campaign, was also present on this occasion. In his address he said that our religion teaches us to feed those creatures on earth who can't express their feelings.  Subhash Goyal added that even his parents or grandparents too used to provide bajra or satnaja to birds or insects and we are to merely follow their path.

The President of Rotary Club Chandigarh City Beautiful RTN. Vaibhav Garg and Secretary RTN. Pritish Goyal also donated 30 kg. Satnaja for birds on this occasion. RTN. Vaibhav Garg said that our organisation will always assist the JKM Welfare Foundation in future too for such noble causes.  RTN. Pritish Goyal, applauding the efforts of the foundation, said it was the need of the hour. He added that we always focus on human beings but nobody looks after the birds, now JKM Welfare Foundation has come for birds, it is not only appreciable but also an important, we will certainly support them.

It's worth mentioning here that this is not the first time when 'foundation' comes forward with such a noble social cause. In the month of August last, while working for the environment, the foundation planted sapling of lord Krishanas' favourite tree 'Kadamb' at Gandhi Samarak Bhawan, which has not only religious values but also medicinal importance. Besides it, the Foundation has also honoured senior naturopath Dr M P Dogra with the best teachers' award on Teachers' Day.
