Chandigarh 04th August:-- The Resident Welfare Organisation of Sector 38 A & B organised a programme to celebrate 'Teej' in sector 38-A on Sunday evening. The president of the organisation Prem Kaushik was the chief guest in the programme. The ladies Mrs Chopra, Pushpa Kaushik, Mahender Kaur, Beena Kapoor, Monika Kohli and Teena Singh played an important role in the organisation of the programme. Mrs Monika Kohli had decorated the hammock with flowers, on which all the participants swung with lots of joy. In the clinking of bangles the songs and dances of several kinds entertained all the people and the 'giddha' was the block buster. Beside this, the games 'musical chair' and 'Tambola' were also enjoyed by all the people present there.
The president Prem Kaushik (also the general secretary of Chandigarh BJP), in his address, said that the culture and traditions of India are the soul of our country. Therefore, to make the country strong, we should not only remember our culture and traditions by ourselves but also make sure that it will also live alive in our children's hearts. In the end, he requested with well wishes that he believe that by the medium of this organisation this type of programmes will be organised every year in future also which is started by the ladies of the sector this year. The General Secretary S. S. Thakral, Rakesh Kalra, Col. K. D. Pathak, Er. S. S. Bagga and Ashok Sapra were also present on the occasion.
