Chandigarh 06th August:- Chandigarh Police has arrested and recovered 120 gram of Charas from burail resident Deepak near Light Point, Sector-44/45. A Case U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh. Further investigation is going on.
In another case Chandigarh Police has arrested Mohali resident Major Singh from near Power House, Kajheri, Chandigarh and recovered 36 quarters of country wine from his possession. A Case U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Accused was later on bailed out. Similarly in another case Chandigarh Police arrested Mohali resident Dhanwant Singh, Prem Singh & Ram Singh both are resident of Morinda from near Wine Shop, Sector-36, Chandigarh, while consuming liquor at public place. A Case U/S 68-1-14 Excise Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Accused were later on bailed out.
