Mohali, Sept.11, 2026:-Gian Jyoti Institute of Management and Technology, Phase 2, organised its annual Indoor Sports Championship under the ‘Fit India’ campaign of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. The championship provided students with an excellent opportunity to participate in competitive sports and promote fitness in campus life.
The championship featured exciting events such as table tennis, chess, carrom and push-ups. To make the event more engaging, new and dynamic activities, including badminton singles and rope skipping, were also introduced. Students participated enthusiastically and showcased their sporting skills.
In table tennis doubles, Akarshit, a fifth-semester B.Com student, and Pramath, a third-semester MBA student, won the title. Aditya, BBA third semester, and Gurdev, BBA Part III, finished as runners-up. In table tennis singles, Aditya, BBA third semester, secured first position, while Akarshit was the runner-up.
In the push-up competition, Ansh emerged as the winner, while Preetinder secured second position. In chess, Harsh won the title and Sumit finished as the runner-up. In carrom, Prakash (BBA 3) won the title, while Bobby Singh was the runner-up.
