Chandigarh, Oct.24, 2024:-Rotary Club Chandigarh observed the World Polio Day at Sukhna Lake
here today. Rotarians with 150 schools children participated in the walk. Led by former world President of Rotary international, Rajendra K. Saboo, there walk 13 years. of ' POLIO FREE INDIA' and to pledge continuation of efforts to rid the world of polio from the remaining two nations of the world, namely Afghanistan and Pakistan informed Rotary President Jatinder Kapoor.
Nearly 150 children from Interact Clubs of 10 city schools participated, i.e. St. John's High School, Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Bhavan Vidyalaya, AKSIP-45 and 41,
DAV Sector 15, Shri Guru Harkishen Public School, GGD SD Public School-32, MDAV-22, DPS-40.
Rotaract Clubs Legis Social and SGGS College too joined the walk along with members of NGO
Viraste Karmyogi , beside District Rotaract Board members Aman and Prerna.
Singer of the other prominent Rotarians present were PJ Singh, Dr. Rajinder Kaur, Secretary Prem Mahindru, Joint Secretary Arun Aggarwal, You Service Director Teena Virk, PP Vijay Wadhawan, PP Arvind Mahajan, PP Jaspal Sidhu, Gurvinder Sagoo, Deepika Prashar, Pankaj Katia etc.
