Mind Tree School today hosted its annual Inter house Dramatics Competition, transforming the school into a vibrant hub of creativity. The event, attended by students, parents, and distinguished guests, was marked by excitement and anticipation.
The ceremony began with the ceremonial lamp lighting, symbolizing the illumination of knowledge and creativity. The presence of esteemed guests, including Principal Ms. Harveen Kaur, Ms. Gulshan Dewan, Principal, Mind Tree School, IIT Mandi and Dr. Vandana A Kumar, Chairperson, Department of Laws, Panjab University, and the School Director, Dr. Sanjay Kumar, added to the event's grandeur.
This year's competition centered on the theme of Women Empowerment, with each house—Aakash, Agni, Jal, and Prithvi—presenting plays that highlighted the inspiring stories of Savitri Bai Phule, Ruma Devi, Ahilya Bai Holkar, and Muthulekshmi Reddy. The performances, rich in emotion and complexity, paid homage to these extraordinary women and underscored the importance of women's empowerment.
Agni House emerged victorious, winning the Best House award for their portrayal of Ruma Devi a contemporary social entrepreneur known for her work in empowering rural women through traditional handicrafts. Garvit Sahni of Aakash House and Yuvika Sood of Jal House were named Best Actors in the boys and girls categories, respectively.
The Chief Guests' speeches were a highlight, inspiring all with their wisdom and encouragement. Principal Harveen Kaur emphasized the importance of dramatics in education and commended the students and teachers for their efforts.
The competition left an indelible mark on all attendees, celebrating the magic of theater and the vibrant spirit of the school community.
