Tandon Files Nomination Papers After a Massive Road Show

After a massive show of strength with a city-wide roadshow BJP candidate, Sanjay Tandon filed his nomination papers for the Chandigarh Lok Sabha seat in the office of Vinay Pratap Singh, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of UT Chandigarh, at the DC office, Sector 17, Chandigarh on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya.

Retd) - (Grandfather of actress Gul Panag) and Ravinder Nath proposed the nomination of Sanjay Tandon.

Expressing his profound gratitude, Tandon said that he is deeply humbled by the overwhelming support and trust placed in him by the people of his city. Their trust is a testament to people's faith in the Modi government model. Today, he is in debt to the love and support people have showered upon him. He assures you that after becoming an MP, he 
promises to deliver in 5 years what would normally take 50 years.

Before embarking on his journey, Tandon, along with his family members in the presence of senior BJP's leaders, performed a havan, which was attended by Haryana's newly appointed CM, Nayab Singh Saini, held at Kamlam, Sector 33, Chandigarh.

Jitendra Pal Malhotra, BJP State President; Shakti Prakash Devshali, Vice President were also present at the 'havan'.

Following the havan, Tandon initiated a grand procession on his 'Vijay Rath', accompanied by senior BJP leaders from the party's office in Sector 33, Chandigarh. The journey commenced with a visit at Gurdwara Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Sector 34, where Tandon, accompanied by Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini, Jitender Pal Malhotra sought divine blessings before embarking on the roadshow.

The highlight of the day was Tandon's monumental roadshow, infused with cultural extravaganza that captivated the hearts of the city's residents. The roadshow was a vibrant display of cultural celebration in which people from different communities, including Uttrakhand, Punjab, and Himachal, dressed in their cultural attire, showcased the rich heritage of cultural diversity.

As the entourage passed through different sectors, Tandon paid obeisance at Parshuram Bhawan in Sector 37 and sought blessings at Satya Sai Baba Temple in Sector 30, Baba Balak Nath Mandir, and Sai Temple in Sector 29, Chandigarh.

The roadshow received an overwhelming response from market associations from sectors 24, 22, 21, and 20 who extended their warm welcomes and pledged their support for Tandon's candidacy.

At Garhwal Bhawan, Sector 27, people from Uttarakhand greeted Tandon with showers of petals and offered him a traditional cap of Uttrakhand, extending their warm wishes and luck for the Chandigarh Lok Sabha election. Additionally, various market associations where the procession took place welcomed Tandon and expressed their solidarity for the upcoming Chandigarh Lok Sabha election.

The road show passed through Sector 34, 35, 36, 37, 24, 23, 22, 21, 19, 30, 29, 28, 27, 19, 18 and later reached Sector 17 DC office.  Notably, highlighting their commitment to cleanliness and echoing the spirit of Modi's 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan', BJP members conducted a cleanliness drive along the roadshow route.
