Chandigarh, April 28, 2024:- The BJP got yet another shot in the arm in Chandigarh as two prominent Congress leaders, Parveen Narang 'Bunty' President of District Congress Urban and Parikshit Rana, Youth Congress State Vice President joined the BJP along with their scores of supporters at the two different events today.
In addition, the Sood community also has lent its support to the BJP Chandigarh candidate, Sanjay Tandon
Speaking on the occasion, Tandon said that he welcomes Bunty Narang into the Bharatiya Janata Party parivar. Congressmen are joining our party in hordes as they have become disillusioned with Congress party's leadership and are getting attracted to the growth oriented policies of the Modi government and want to be with a party that is dedicated to the development of the nation.
At the function Tandon was accompanied by other senior BJP leaders.
The prominent among the office bearers were Pratap Rana, district president Youth Congress, Mohit Gopal, general secretary, Mani Rana, vice president rural and Suraj Shah, President Sector 35. The joining ceremony took place in the presence of BJP Chandigarh candidate for Lok Sabha elections, Sanjay Tandon; Jatinder Pal Malhotra, BJP State President; Devinder Singh Babla, BJP Vice President and Kulbubshan Goyal, Mayor, Panchkula along-with other prominent BJP leaders.
Meanwhile, Tandon in his speech touched upon various issues concerned with Chandigarh. He assured the gathering that the next five years would prove to be a golden era in the history of the city beautiful. He particularly talked about metro rail,
Sanjay Tondon said that he will take up the metro project proposal with the central government soon after becoming a member of parliament and our beloved PM Sh. Narender Modi will be invited for a stone laying function.
During the event the members present from the Sood community were President Ashwani Sood; General Secretary, Sudhir Sood; Finance Secretary, Khuswinder Sood; Press Secretary, Sachin Sood; Joint Press Secretary, Mukesh Sood and others.
Members of RWA -Sec 44, Grain Market Association, Uttrakhand Sabha, Manimajra Market Association were also present on the occasion.
It is noteworthy that yesterday Chandigarh Congress bigwig Jatinder Kumar (Toti ji) the Ex General Secretary, Youth Congress (SC/ST) Cell; Ajit Singh Gill, District General Secretary, Chandigarh Youth Congress; Akshay Kadyan, State Secretary, Chandigarh Youth Congress had joined BJP.
