Chandigarh, Mar.26, 2024:-Under 16 team of UT Cricket Association (UTCA) registered a clean sweep win over Dubai Under 16 team in the five exhibition match series. Hosts won the fourth and fifth match convincingly. An unbeaten 72 runs by Harjagateshwar Khaira helped UTCA U-16 Team D to thrash Dubai Under 16 Team by 90 runs. Dubai won the toss and decided to field first. Khaira scored 72 runs with the help of nine boundaries. The team scored 175/4 runs in the stipulated twenty overs. In reply, the visitors fell cheaply for 85 runs in the 15th over against a lethal bowling attack led by Saksham (4/18). Skipper Aarav Minani scored 23 runs.
In the final match of the series played at GNP School Sector 36, UTCA defeated Dubai Gems by eight wickets. The host team won the toss and opted to field first and bowled out Dubai for 107 runs. Yuvraj Pathania (5/10) took five wickets for the fielding side. Daksh and Agamjot took two wickets each. In reply, unbeaten innings of Yuvraj 63 and Divjot 31 steered to the win in the 15th over at the loss of two wickets.
At the conclusion of the series, UTCA President Sanjay Tandon along with other functionaries honored the players of the host and visiting teams.
