Chandigarh, July 25, 2023:- Politician and philanthropist Sanjay Tandon led Competent Foundation in the series of Sports Kits Distribution organized a program at GMSS School, Sector 22A wherein 40 football and six kickboxing needy players were benefited with their sports kits on Tuesday. Foundation has started the city wide campaign across all Govt schools to empower the needy players who cannot afford sports kits due their family's financial constraints. In the previous editions, the foundation used to distribute school kits amongst needy students.
Present on the occasion, HPS Brar, DPI Schools applauded the efforts of the Foundation. Sanjay Tandon said that under this program, 175 sports kits will be distributed among the children of government schools of the city who show interest in sports, who are unable to show their talent in sports due to financial constraints.
The program was started on June 1, 2023 by Punjab Governor and UT Administrator, Banwarilal Purohit at Raj Bhavan wherein 10 players were given kits in the presence of their coaches.
Along with school principal, Rajeev Kumar, BJP District President Jatinder Malhotra, teachers, and other members of the school staff were also present.
