Chandigarh, Apr.05, 2023:-A delegation of congress leaders of chandigarh from villages led by H S Lucky President Chandigarh Congress today met the Additional Deputy commissioner chandigarh administration Amit Kumar and handed him a memorandum demanding adequate compensation to the tune of Rs 50000 per acre to the farmers in chandigarh villages who lost their crop due to recent rains and bad weather. The leaders demanded Immediate carrying out of special girdauris to ascertain the loss in order to pay compensation to the affected farmers. The leaders also raised various other issues related to villages including extension of Lal dora and all round development of villages.
H S Lucky said that already the farmers were suffering a lot as they were not getting adequate price for their product as the Modi government has failed to fulfil its promise of making farmers income double.
Prominent among the leaders were Bhupinder Badheri , Kuldeep Kajheri , Surinder Singh , Daljeet Singh, Kuldip Singh , Ramkaran, Manoj Lobana, Raju Palsora , Lakhwinder Ninni , Harbans Singh and Charanjit Singh.
