KERALA SAMJAM CHANDIGARH ORGANISES A FREE MEDICAL CAMP TO MARK THE OCCASION OF 48th YEAR ANNIVERSARY

A day long free medical camp organised by the Kerala Samajam (Regd.), Chandigarh to mark its 48th Year Anniversary in the Tricity, aimed at improving the health care facilities to the residents of the Ramdarbar at their doorsteps. The camp organised by the Samajam at Shri Adwait Sawroop Shiv Mandir, Ramdarbar, Chandigarh in association with Shalby Multi-Specialty Hospital, Mohali was formally inaugurated by the Ex-Mayor Kamlesh Banarsi Dass. 

During the camp the expert doctors of Shalby Multi-Specialty Hospital chiefly General Medicine Dr. Jasmeet Singh, Neurologist Dr. Sawan Verma, Gynecologist Dr. Vandana Mittal, Pulmonologist Dr. Aman, Orthopedist Dr. Ankur Dogra, Otolaryngologist (ENT) Dr. Gurwinder Dhiraj, Dentist  Dr. Nittu, Ophthalmologist Dr. Ajay Dubbey and their para medical staff provided health services to more than 400 people including free medical check up and distribution of medicines. The camp particularly conducted various tests and examinations namely Diabetes, Blood pressure test, Eye checkup, Physiotherapy, Diet counselling and many more. 

Kamlesh said that Doctors have been given a high status in our society, and compared next to God. It is pertinent to note that the huge gathering at the camp reflects that people will take benefit of the healthcare facilities, if provided to them at their doorsteps. Moreover, the efforts of the Kerala Samajam, Chandigarh towards the well-being of the residents of the Tricity are commendable by providing free medical examination, counselling & medicines and expressed her gratitude for the Samajam. 

She added that the Samajam is truly sensitive for the development and welfare of its residents. The residents of the Ramdarbar are especially rejoiced after receiving all these facilities under one roof, which they do not get easily. 

Kerala Samajam, Chandigarh has been in existence for the past five decades. Furthermore, creating its presence in the socio cultural fabric of the city in a decisive and impactful manner for the betterment and development of the society, as a whole. And has been organising such medical camps and various other welfare initiatives every year in different sectors of the City. 

The Samajam aims to work together with the key stakeholders of the Chandigarh Administration and develop pragmatic & sustainable solutions to critical challenges faced by the Society.
