Chandigarh, October 02, 2021:- Chandigarh Mahila Congress President Deepa Adhir Dubey and Sarbotam Rana of NSUI jointly celebrated the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi ji, a priest of non-violence and Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri ji, former Prime Minister of India, at the Congress Bhawan. State Congress Committee President Subhash Chawla was especially present on this occasion. On this occasion, all the workers paid tribute by garlanding his statue. State President Subhash Chawla while addressing the workers said that being humiliated in Africa, Gandhi ji made non-violence his shield and got India freedom from the British. Today all Congress workers need to unite and fight against communal forces by strengthening the party.
Deepa Dubey said that today there is a need to follow the path shown by Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.
Hundreds of workers including DD Jindal, Vinod Sharma, Ravinder Gujral, Rajni Talwar, Kamlesh Banarasi Das, Achhe Lal Gaur, Naseeb Jakhar and Congress Seva Dal's Mahesh Prasad Sharma and Ramraj Verma participated in the occasion.
Under this program, NSUI planted saplings in Sector 35, which was inaugurated by State President Subhash Chawla.
