Chandigarh Congress Organises Protest Dharna against the State Election Commission

Chandigarh, October 06, 2021:- The Chandigarh Congress today organised a protest dharna against the state election commission, UT Chandigarh in front of the Deputy commissioner office in Sector 17 chandigarh .

According to H S Lucky, General Secretary and Chief Spokesperson of Chandigarh Congress the protestors demanded Immediate calling of  an all party meeting of political parties of Chandigarh and holding a draw for reservation of women and SC seats . They also demanded that dates and schedule of the Municipal corporation elections should be announced immediately so that a fair and level playing field is given to one and all. It appears to us and residents of Chandigarh that the commission and Chandigarh administration are biased in their approach and not acting neutral said Subhash Chawla, President CTCC.

Youth leader Manish Bansal also criticized the administration for acting partially. The protestors raised slogans and were carrying placards.

Amongst the prominent leaders who addressed the protestors were Devinder Singh Babla, H S lLucky , Pawan Sharma, Hafiz Anwarulhaq , Deepa Dubey, Jagjit Kang, H C Kalyan, Gurpreet Gabi, Rajiv Moudgil, Ajay Sharma, Love Kumar, Manoj Lobana, Gurbax  Rawat , Ravinder Kaur Gujral,Gurcharan Dass Kala, Ache Lal, Sadiq Muhammad,  Z P Khan,  Salim Khan,Jasbir Bunty, Rameshwar Giri ,Devinder Gupta, Jeet Singh, Venod Sharma, Ajay Joshi, Satish Kainth, Meenakshi Chaudhary,  Naseeb Jakhar, Harmail Kesri , O P Verma, Manjit Chauhan, Prem Lata, Madan Lal, Nitin Chauhan,  Mata ,Kulbir,, Parveen Narang, Prikshit Rana, Navdeep among others demanded a free and fair election. The leaders later handed over a memorandum to SDM Central T S Saini.
