Chandigarh August 26, 2021:- Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh organised Pratiti- a 2 day international book exhibition under the aegis of its Postgraduate Department of Sociology. The fair was a treat for bibliophiles as more than 2000 books on a wide range of subjects of worldwide renowned publishers like Sage, Cambridge and Pearson were displayed.
A wide range of reference books on Languages, Economics, Philosophy, Political Science, Sociology, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Food and Nutrition offered the readers a complete intellectual delight. Enclyopedias, auto biographies of renowned personalities and books based on the preparation of competitive exams also caught the attention of the students. All the COVID-19 safety protocols were followed during the exhibition.
Principal Dr Nisha Bhargava appreciated the initiative aimed at cultivating love for reading among students. She added that books are real friends of human beings who not only help in personality development but also build knowledge and communication skills.
