Govt. College of Yoga Education and Health Chandigarh Celebrates 75 Years Of India’s Independence

Chandigarh August 16, 2021:- Govt. College of Yoga Education and Health, Sector 23 A, Chandigarh celebrated the 75th Independence Day in the college to commemorate the contributions and sacrifices of the freedom fighters and leaders.

Dr. Sapna Nanda, Principal of the college welcomed the Chief Guest Rupesh Kumar Agarwal, IAS, SDM (South), U.T. Admn., ChandigarhStudents, Faculty and General Public Members on this prestigious occasion. Dr. Sapna Nanda while addressing the audience emphasized that one should never take for granted the Independence and freedom which is gained by the countless sacrifices of martyrs. The Programme commenced with the flag unfurling ceremony by the Chief Guest, students and staff followed by the National Anthem. Thereafter students of the college presented a patriotic song which was followed by dance performance by Sukriti and Bhavya Sharma.

The Chief Guest Rupesh Kumar Agarwal, IAS in his address stressed about the importance of Independence Day and motivated the students to serve the motherland with dedication and sincerity. He spoke about the contribution of the younger generation for the implementation of new ideas and imbibing the yogic lifestyle for their well being as well as for the betterment of the Society.
