Chandigarh April 23, 2021:- To raise awareness among the masses about climate change and global warming, the School of Business
Management, Commerce & Economics and Faculty of Engineering & Applied Sciences of Desh Bhagat University organized Webinars on "World Earth Day" Collaboration with Mission Excellence Club. Speaking on the occasion Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor DBU explained the importance of earth day. He further said that the day inspires us to act towards the protection of the environment and focus on the need for conservation. Earth Day is recognized as the largest civic event in the world.
Giving details of the event, the spokesperson of the university said that the webinar organized by the school of business management was started with the welcome speech of Dr. Rajni Saluja, HOD. Assistant Professors Manmeet Singh & Dr. Pooja were the speakers and coordinators of the event. A presentation was also exhibited for the audience to explain the need for the celebration of the Event World Earth Day. Students of MBA, M.COM, BBA, and B.COM attended the seminar. Students staying at home also sent their entries through email and social media.
He further said that from the Faculty of Engineering Er. Pramod Mandal, HOD Aeronautical Engineering addressed the event and delivered motivational views regarding awareness of environmental issues and to save disposal of waste on the occasion of Earth Day.
Faculty members and students participated through online mode and submitted Photographs, Posters, The slogan, Audio and Video Clips related to environmental protection, climate change,global warming, and other environmental issues.
Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Pro-Chancellor DBU congratulated staff and students for the successful conduct of the event. Dr. Shalini Gupta, Vice Chancellor DBU said that we need power to make things work and places to grow food and raise animals. There are several things we should do to preserve the land we live on. We can protect our parks, playgrounds, and even our backyards.
