Chandigarh Jan. 27, 2021:- The NSS wing of Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector 26, Chandigarh organised a workshop on January 24, 2021 on Clay Modelling as part of a special camp organised from January 21 to January 27, 2021. The workshop was conducted by renowned sculptor Tulsi Ram.
The main aim of the workshop was to inspire the students to express themselves through their creativity and imagination. The NSS volunteers learnt various innovative ways to create different articles from clay and to use clay as an expression of art. The workshop also helped them develop artistic skills. The entire process had a calming and therapeutic effect on the students and helped assuage their anxiety caused by Covid-19 Pandemic. 65 students participated in the workshop with immense fervour.
Keeping in mind the pandemic, strict safety measures were followed.
The Principal, Dr. Jatinder Kaur lauded the effort of the NSS team in conducting the workshop and cultivating artistic skills in students and also appreciated the students for their enthusiasm to learn.
