Chandigarh Dec. 03, 2020:- The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab under the ICSI Academic Collaborations initiative.
The objective of the MOU is to bring together the efforts of these institutes for imparting knowledge and honing the skills of students, academicians and professionals of these Institutes.
While signing the MoU , CS Ashish Garg, the President ICSI, Dr. S.K. Jena ,Director Training and Placement of ICSI, CS Yogita, Chairperson ,Patiala Chapter, NIRC-ICSI and Dr. Zora Singh , Chancellor, Prof. Shalini Gupta Vice Chancellor , Prof Virender Kumar Sharma, Registrar Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh were present virtually and Panel Discussion was conducted by CS Hitender Mehta , Central Council Member, ICSI and Prof. Shalini Gupta Vice Chancellor Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh on the topic "VOCAL FOR LOCAL- Its Impact on Indian Economy –MAKE IN INDIA".
This MOU would facilitate a comprehensive partnership in the areas of joint academic research, joint workshops, professional development & faculty development programmes along with sharing of resources and participation in International Conferences.
Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University, said that we are making efforts to provide numerous opportunities to the students and collaboration with Institute of Company Secretaries of India, is one of the efforts.
Emphasising on the need for such collaborations, CS Ashish Garg, President ICSI, said that this undertaking would not just help in fostering the relationship between the two partner institutes but would also promote Executive Education Programmes.
